The wait is over
SeaWingman is now on the App Store and Google Play.
After a long beta with travelers, expats, and digital nomads across the region, the app that helps you find your people in Southeast Asia is officially out. It's free to download, it's built for exactly this part of the world, and it's ready for you today.
If you've just landed somewhere new — or you've been somewhere a while and the calendar still looks empty — SeaWingman is the fastest way to turn strangers nearby into the crew that makes a place feel like home. Here's what it does, and how to get it.
Why we built it
Moving abroad is easy. Belonging is the hard part.
We wrote a whole essay on this — The Second Arrival — but the short version is this: the research is blunt. The U.S. Surgeon General now rates chronic loneliness as dangerous as smoking, the Harvard Study of Adult Development found relationships are the single biggest predictor of a long, happy life, and InterNations finds that only about half of expats find it easy to make friends abroad.
SeaWingman exists for that gap — between arriving somewhere and belonging there. Now it's an app you can actually hold.
What you can do
Everything you need to find your crew.
Want the full tour? See how discovery and events work, read why we built SeaWingman, or skim the common questions.
Open the app, see who's around, say hi.
No cold DMs into the void. SeaWingman shows you real people nearby who are also looking to connect — then makes the first hello easy.
