Terms of Service

Last updated: May 9, 2026

Welcome to SeaWingman. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SeaWingman (the "Service"), operated from Southeast Asia and provided to you over the web and through our iOS and Android apps. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. Who can use SeaWingman

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Service. By using SeaWingman you confirm that you are 18 or older, that the information you provide is true, and that you are not on any government sanctions list or barred from receiving services under the laws of the country you live in.

If we discover an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor has created an account, please contact support@seawingman.com so we can remove it.

2. Your account

You are responsible for any activity on your account, including activity by anyone you allow to use it. Pick a strong password, don't share it, and tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for keeping your contact details (email, phone) accurate so we can reach you about your account.

Each person may keep one personal account. Don't impersonate someone else, create duplicate accounts to evade limits or bans, or sell or transfer your account to anyone.

3. How to behave

SeaWingman exists to help people find friendship and connection across Southeast Asia. Treat the people you meet here with the same respect you would in person. Specifically, you agree not to:

  • Harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, or bully other users.
  • Post hateful or discriminatory content based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or similar characteristics.
  • Use the Service to engage in commercial sex work, escort services, or solicitation. This is not a hookup app.
  • Send sexually explicit images, nudity, or violent content. Don't ask for them either.
  • Pretend to be someone you're not, including using photos that don't show your real face.
  • Promote scams, MLM/pyramid schemes, get-rich-quick offers, fake products, or anything illegal.
  • Spam, post links unrelated to the conversation, or use bots/scripts to interact with the Service.
  • Disrupt other people's enjoyment of the Service, including flooding chat, brigading, or coordinating harassment.
  • Try to break, probe, reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the Service or its security.
  • Violate any applicable law in the country you're using the Service from.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos, profile text, messages, and other content you post ("Your Content"). You're responsible for it — make sure you have the right to share it and that it doesn't break these Terms or anyone else's rights.

You give SeaWingman a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify (for example, resize photos), and display Your Content for the purpose of running, improving, and promoting the Service. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except where we need to keep it to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.

You will not post content that infringes anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights. We respond to clear, good-faith reports of infringement; contact support@seawingman.com.

5. Safety, reporting, and moderation

If someone is making you uncomfortable, you can block them in-app at any time. We also ask you to report behavior that breaks these Terms — that's how we keep the community healthy. We review reports and take action that ranges from a warning, to temporary suspension, to permanent removal. We may remove content or restrict accounts at our discretion, but we'll try to be fair and consistent.

SeaWingman is not a substitute for professional safety services. Use good judgment when meeting people from the app: meet in public, tell someone you trust where you're going, and trust your gut. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first; reporting to us comes second.

6. Premium features and payments

Some features may require a one-time purchase or a recurring subscription. Prices, available regions, and feature lists are shown in the app at the time of purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel them through the App Store, Google Play, or your in-app account settings. We do not control App Store / Google Play refund policies — those purchases are handled by Apple and Google directly. Where we sell you something outside those stores, we'll show you the refund policy at checkout.

7. Advertising

We show ads to users who haven't paid to remove them. Ads are served by Google AdMob. If you don't want personalized ads, iOS users can adjust this through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt or in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; Android users can opt out via Google Settings → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization. See our Privacy Policy for details on what's shared.

8. Service changes and availability

We're a small team building this in public. Features will change. We may add, remove, or modify parts of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We'll try to give you reasonable warning before removing something you actively use. The Service is offered "as is" and "as available" — we don't promise it'll be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific person you talk to will reciprocate.

9. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Remove Account. Deleting an account permanently removes your profile, photos, matches, messages, and notes; this cannot be undone. We may keep limited records (for example, deletion timestamps and anonymized abuse logs) where required by law or to enforce these Terms against repeat offenders.

We can suspend or terminate your account if you break these Terms, if we're required to by law, or if continuing to provide the Service to you would create a risk to other users. We'll usually tell you why, unless explaining it would compromise an investigation or risk someone's safety.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SeaWingman is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service — including emotional distress, lost profits, lost data, or claims arising from how another user behaved toward you online or in person. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is capped at the greater of (a) US$50 or (b) the amounts you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Some jurisdictions don't allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability for consequential damages, so the above may not fully apply to you. Where it doesn't, our liability is limited to the smallest amount the law allows.

11. Disputes and governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the place SeaWingman is operated from, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes are to be resolved first by good-faith negotiation; if that fails, in the courts with jurisdiction over SeaWingman's place of business. If any part of these Terms is held invalid, the rest remains in effect.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we'll bump the "Last updated" date above and notify you in-app. Continued use after the change means you accept the new Terms. If you don't accept them, please stop using the Service and delete your account.
