Thailand's two big marketplaces, and which one to open first depending on what you are buying.
They sell largely the same things at largely the same prices, and most people in Thailand end up with both. The difference is what each is better at, not which is better.

Open Lazada first when
You are buying something where the seller matters — a phone, an appliance, a brand-name item. The official-store tier is easier to trust, and warranty claims on genuine goods are less painful.
Open Shopee first when
You are buying something cheap and generic — cables, kitchen bits, clothes, household refills. The voucher stacking is genuinely worth the extra taps, and free-shipping thresholds are easier to hit.
Two things that catch people out
Cross-border listings. Both marketplaces carry sellers shipping from overseas. The price looks great and the delivery estimate is two to three weeks. Check where it ships from before ordering something you need this week.
Prices move. Both run near-constant campaigns tied to double-digit dates — 9.9, 10.10, 11.11. If what you want is not urgent, waiting for the next one is usually cheaper than hunting for a voucher today.
